A kick and a punch

So my baby bump is really growing now. I fell like a killer whale! I'm finding it so hard to become comfortable at night when I'm in bed but it's also hard just to get off the sofa hehe. Well this boy is sooooo active I swear my other two were not as active or maybe I've just forgot! I never slept all night the other night due to the fact that I was being kicked and punched by my unborn child. His head down now and he often headbutts my bladder and kicks my ribs. I love felling movement as it insures me his doing well but boy is some of these movements a killer. I swear my son will be a kick boxer. I'm really excited about meeting him:) Wow only 12 more weeks give or take a few til I meet my baby.

Busy mummy

So I am now almost 27 weeks pregnant! Wow has time flown by.
I'm huge now and felling like a whale Lol but hay I'm really looking forward to bringing another child into the world. I'm a very proud mummy!

Giovanni and Alice are really looking forward to meeting their baby brother:) They both love to fell his kicks and punches and watch my tummy make all sorts of weird wonderful shapes. It's almost September and the children are returning to school after a long hot summers holiday. They both seem to be looking forward to meeting their new teacher for the new school year. Yes I am a touch concerned about my little man Giovanni. As most of you know he has Aspergers a type of autism! He is not very good with change and has never been very keen on the whole school thing. He also has sleeping problems and they have seemed to get worse a little over the school break. I'm sure with some hard work I will be able to get him into the new routine for school. It's always a hard one for us having such a long school break as it's hard getting little man back into his old routine.

So yes with all that has been going on things have been a little busy at home. But I would not change a thing having my two children and one on the way is wonderful :) I just hope that my house is finished and the kids are all settled by the time baby no3 arrives.

OMG WHAT CAN I SAY?

Well I had to write this post. I haven't updated for a while but after logging on the other day I was shocked to discover I had been contacted by so many young girls asking me If I knew how to enter the mini miss UK.

I just want to let all them girl's know that sorry no I really don't have a clue! Why? Because I was just writing a post about the TV show I had seen on BBC3 that night. I really have no clue as to when and where these contest happen. God the response I got just proves how many young girls as young as 9 are trying to get into the world of modelling.

All I can tell you guys was that at the end of the show they did mention there being a mini miss UK 2010.

MINI MISS UK

Wow who saw the show Baby Beauty Queen on BBC 3 tonight?
It really was a shocker! Young girls as young as 6 competing to become Mini miss UK.
Did I think it was wrong for Mother's like myself to enter their children into this type of contest ? Yes and No. There was one mum that entered her 7 year old into the pageant, But this mum was not pushy or doing it to exploit her daughter. This was a very shy child that struggled at school and had not had an easy time. She had little confidence and her mum just wanted to help with that. She said there was a chance maybe she would not get onto the stage but she was fine with that, telling her little girl if she didn't want to do it then that was OK ( She came across as a real loving mum )

The show was based around three children. The 7 year old I just spoke off and two other 9 year old girls. One was from Scotland and watching her prepear for the pageant upset me. Her mum who was a born again Cristen was really and I mean really pushy! The show started with the mum spray tanning her child and the little girl crying. Why because she didn't like it and kept saying she was scared. Did the mum stop NO. She was also pushing her to do her dance routine which was upsetting to watch I was almost screaming at the tv "she's a child " She ended up yet again in tears running for her bedroom. Through the whole thing you never heard mum say it's the taking part that counts. It was all about winning. I the end the little girl said she had to win as if not it meant she wasn't pretty. Did she win ? NO and god it was heartbreaking to see what it had done to her. She was in tears. All mum could say was she didn't understand and there was always the American pageants to conger:( The 3rd girl also had a pushy mum but not half as bad. But still it was hard to watch. Anyhow none of the three girls won. The 7 year old was fantastic and really didn't care if she won. Her mummy said it wasn't about winning but making her happy and a little less shy. But the other two were upset ( The child from Scotland took it VERY BAD )

It really was a must watch. Would love to hear what you all think. Catch up on BBc 3 or the bbc iplayer online.

SWINE FLU IS EVERYWHERE:(

We just can't seem to get away from it! It's everywhere! There is nowhere left to hide:(
Swine flu is out to get us.

So a few days ago I found out that there are a few cases of swine flu at my children's school. A parent told my partner that their child had been taken ill with the flu. I phoned the children's school ( Reason being was I was due to attend a meeting there and I'm pregnant and at a higher risk) To my horror the school confirmed that yes there had been a couple of cases to date. I felt angry that it was another parent that had told me. If I had not of known then I would of attended the meeting. Thing is I was also felling ill this day. Reason being was I had eaten something that upset me. After speaking to my doctor I was advised NOT to attend the meeting. Since I found out two days ago I have not sent the children to school! For one I am scared stiff off my children catching the flu. ( Who would care for them? ) Then there is the fact I'm still sick and have sent them to a family members house for a few days. Am I being over the Top??????
I really don't know? All I do know is my family are my family! My children and unborn child should in my eyes remain at home well and safe. I know we can't hide forever but for now I'm gonna at least try!

The children Giovanni 8 & Alice 6 are also really pleased with the news. OK Alice did want a baby sister but she's fine with it now. So the scan went really well, Baby looks great and seems really healthy. It was so cool to see HIM wiggling around and to fell his movements as I saw them was fantastic.

IN NEED OF SOME HELP.

Hi guys
This is a post for help! I need help to choose baby names.
I have created a list with babynames.com which is a fantastic place that lets you create a list then post it to your friends for votes. I'm unsure if this list is done. I'm 16weeks and chances are it may grow or change over the coming months. Then there's the fact that I hope to find out the sex of the baby at my 20week scan which happens to be in around 3 weeks on the 13Th July. So once this happens the list will have to change.

I would love to know what you all think of my name choices so far?
All you have to do is click on the link in the sidebar. Once your there look through the names and click the thumbs up or down buttons.

THANKS ALL.

DESIGNER BABY BUMPS

As many of you already know I'm a pretty big art fan. I love to draw and paint and have displayed some of my work on this blog. Well just the other day I was checking out some cool and funky art on google. It was then that I came across something a little different BODY PAINTING FOR PREGNANT WOMAN.
So with my love of art and yes me being pregnant I decided to take a look. Wow not at all what I had expected but in a great way. This stuff was fantastic, creative, fun and funky, I was Interested and wanted to find out more.

The designs were by an artist named Julia Laderman. Julia is easily one of the best body painters I have ever seen. Julia is based in Brighton. She says the bigger the bump the better. Eight months on wards seems a pretty good time to get a pregnant belly jazzed up. Prices start at around £650 and you would need to be prepared to spend the whole day having it done. Once painted next comes the photo shoot. A highly experienced photographer will take the shoots any way you fell most comfortable.

All body paint is water based making it easy to wash off. And guess what lady  lunch, drinks and snacks are provided throughout the day ( GREAT NEWS FOR ALL MUMMIES TO BE )

Well it maybe a fair bit of money but how often are you pregnant? With a minimum of two 10x8 and four 7x5 images it's a great keepsake to show the baby when there older. I'm only 14 weeks but I'm thinking about booking in for a little bump painting, That gives me around four months to save me Penny's lol.

If your expecting and want to see and find out more then check out embody or email info@embody.org.uk You can also find out more by calling +44(8)7803 12192
Would love to hear your comments on what you think.

ME AND PREGNANCY

So yes I'm expecting a baby, and as I have said before I'm over the moon.
I'm now 14 weeks gone, and my energy levels are rising (God I hated felling so tired ) So I'm hoping that I will now be able to give my blog some much needed attention. So yes from now on you can expect a little bit of pregnancy chat ( I hope that's cool with you guys )

So how am I dealing with the whole pregnancy thing ? Great, so far so good. I was lucky that I have barley had any sickness. However tiredness has been an issue as well as the odd mood swing. I also managed to give up the big bad cigarette :) Yes I did this with my other children but I have always returned to the horrid habit. I'm hoping this time will be different and once the baby is born smoking will not be a habit I choose to indulge in.

My biggest issue seems to be my changing body shape. I just can't seem to enjoy these changes. I swear I have to stop looking at those pregnancy magazines. All the woman seem to remain slim with a nice tidy bump. I was a slim size 8 less then 12 weeks ago and since I have become pregnant I seem to have ballooned all over. I think maybe a stone could of been gained so far, Am I eating more ? Maybe! But not a great deal. Maybe it's due to it being my 3rd pregnancy ( So the midwife informs me ) My bump is kinda cute just a little BIG for 14 weeks.  I also want to share my wonderful scan picture with you all. I had forgotten how amazing it is to see your little bubba growing inside you. I really did enjoy the scan and can't wait to my next scan ( where yes I find out the baby's sex )

OH MUMMY

After what seems like the hardest few years things are starting to look joyful.
I'm so happy I could burst. Ok the house is still upside down and all that work taking place in it is driving me a little la la, but I'm still in a happy place right now and loving it. I'm three months pregnant :) YES I'M HAVING A BABY. The kids are also over the moon, were all smiling.

The end of last year was a sad time as I had a missed miscarrige at 11 weeks, God it broke my heart :( But I got through it and now I'm planning to be mummy once more. I have seen my tiny baby twice now by scan and with each day I'm more relaxed and excited. My little boy is hoping for a brother and yes my little princess wishes for a sister. Me and daddy really don't mind! We just want a healthy baby and can't wait to enjoy our bigger family.

DRINKING WITH THE GIRLS

I watched a rather funky but interesting documentary yesterday on BBC3.
It's name was Drinking with the girls. Did anybody other then myself enjoy it? The show was based around recent news reports that woman in the UK are the worse binge drinkers compared to any other country. It's said that as binge drinking numbers are falling in men, there rising in women.

I myself used to love a good binge drinking session on a Friday night out with the girls, As I have two children now they don't come by very often. I now hardly ever drink, I can't remember the last time a glass of wine touched my lips. HONEST!

Well Cherry the 27 year old presenter, had to go through 7 stages of drinking ( that meant 7 nights out :) ) There was the under agers, the pullers ( woman in there 20's ) the students, the mums, the 30's, mid lifers, and lastly the grannies. Well lets just say that Cherry was pissed a lot of the time. The documentary was funny but yes it also highlighted many of the problems alcohol brings. The under age girls were a mess and London's ambulance drivers were extremely busy.

On the whole a fab documentary. Have a hour then check it out one BBC iplayer

T-SHIRTS 4 AUTISM

Is my life crazy ? Well it's as crazy as any other mother of two, a hubby and dog!

Am I complaining ? Hell no! I wouldn't have my life any other way I just love it! The Kids are back at school tomorrow after this long two week Easter break. It's been eventful that's for sure, but I'm looking forward to the break ( What mummy isn't ? ) So just what am I going to do with all my time? Design T-shits for autism that's what. This is something that I have been planning for sometime now but just can't seem to find the time! As most know autism is something very close to my heart ( My son has Asperger's ) and as most already know I love art, So lets put the two together and we have ourselves a fantastic idea.

I'm hopping to have my designs completed within the next few weeks or so and I can't wait to set the wheels in motion. I have a few options on who I will use to help me with my product, my favorite being Zazzle ( A top rated site within the net ) I plan to design 10 ideas and go on to use four or five. I really can't wait. If anybody Is interested in my designs stay tuned as I will post my finished and chosen designs onto the blog and you can all give your opinions.

Now get hotmail on iphone

The new hotmail app on the iphone.
Good news for all the iphone users that have a hotmail account. You can now get your hotmail straight to your iphone via the new app form apps store itunes.
The app is called Mbox mail and for a limited time it's half price £2.99. Yes I agree the £5.99 is a little steep, but I have tyred just about every way to get my hotmail straight to my iphone and It's just not happening! So my advice would be to grab this quick before it goes back to it's regular price of £5.99.

With a 4 and a half stars out off a possible five here are a few of Mbox mails features
Handles multiple hotmail accounts
Move messages between folders
Add, edit and delete folders

ANYBODY FOR TOAST ?

The time some people seem to have on there hands these days! Is it because they don't work or maybe don't have a family life like my own ( busy ) If your spending your time on the net which yes I love, don't you want to be doing something worth doing ?

Reason for this little rant ( well not so much a rant, more a disbelief ) is because today as I searched through the apps store on the iphone, I came across the most useless and silly app ever. I know that yes some of these apps are made just as a bit of silly fun. I'm not the kind of person that is over serious and doesn't no how to have a giggle now and then but really how this app could even be consider as fun is beyond me!

The app is called toast. Yes you heard right TOAST. And guys guess what you get to do on toast? UMMMM Well what other then make virtual toast. Yes you put it in that good old virtual toaster, once it has popped up and is all nice and brown you butter it. No people this is no joke! Next you can add some jam and a few more selections of topping. Once that toast is done what else is there to do but eat it. By touching parts of your toast with your finger round bite marks appear. ALL DONE! Is it just me or is there anybody out there that's thinking what is the point in that ? Really it's worse if you see it. Do you want to know what is a tad crazier then the whole toast making thing ? Well this app used to be free, but as it is now a 4 and a half star app ( best being 5 ) itunes will charge you 59p to download it on to your phone. When looking at the app it reads NOW YOU CAN HAVE TOAST ANYWHERE! LOL WHAT A JOKE. I did however become very entertained by the applications reviews which i must add were hundreds. Lets not forget these are the people that have made up the rating of 4 and a half stars. They loved it. At first they had me thinking yep there taking the p*** but no they really did love Toast!

Fault I would share a few of them reviews that yes had me wetting my pants.

  1. Loved the app, one of the best I have downloaded on my iphone so far! since the new update I have noticed the butter has become a little thinner. I'm pleased as I was not keen o the thicker butter.
  2. Yes loved it. Like that now we can toast waffles. Need a few more toppings and I would give 5 stars.
  3. At last I get to make toast when I'm out. This keeps me entertained for hours.
  4. This app is fab. Would be much better if chocolate spread was a topping. Liked the thicker butter.
  5. Bring back thicker butter and next update can we please have peanut butter as a topping.
  6. It's an amazing app, but the bites need some work as they don't look like real bite marks
  7. I'm still waiting on chocolate spread. If you have not added it next update I'm deleting toast as It's unfair! everybody wants it and I have asked at least a dozen times by email
  8. WOW I I LOVE THIS TOAST APP SHAME WE CAN'T REALLY EAT THE TOAST. WOULD BE BETTER IF WE HAD THE CHOICE TO POUR A JUICE AS WELL.
  9. Love toast, Next update could you make a way for us to pimp out our toaster so its all bling
  10. Would be great if could toast 4 slices instead of the 2.
Gotta say these and many more had me rolling on the floor, Me my hubby and sister were splitting at the sides. As well as these sad ( sorry ) people that pay 59p for the chance to make virtual toast, they then go on to send in there hyped up reviews. I know what your thinking! It may be OK, how do I know I never brought it. Well after reading the sad but so so funny reviews I made my poor hubby waste 59p so i could see it in action. Well I have to give them one thing! It does what it says on the tin! LOL GOD IT REALLY WAS A LOAD OF CRAP.

So this is to all you people out there that sit with there iphone or ipod touch, on the bus, train where ever they maybe making virtual toast. Please get a life! If you want toast go home put some nice white bread that you can fell in your hands, put it in the real toaster and make some f*****g toast. YOUR NOT 3 YEARS OLD! ARE YOU?

My little princess won!

YIPPEE :)

Yes my little girl Alice won the Blingee competition for the best girl.
This competition is run on the blingee site were I created and blinged my princesses photo. I posted the image on the post Nothing short of a princess a few days back. You don't really win a prize, but you are awarded with a badge in which you collect and proudly display on your page:))
Well I'm happy with that. It was just nice to know her image had won even though we entered the competition only a few days before it ended. Telling Alice was a delight. She had a huge smile spread from cheek to cheek. Bless her.
So I fault what the hell let's enter a few more. So that's what I did.
It was nice to enjoy some non serious fun. I entered one of the Dog and one of my little man. They close in a few more days so will inform you on the latest once I hear.
I'm giggling now ;)

The artist in me

I have enjoyed drawing for as long as I can remember.
When I was as young as 4 I remember drawing pictures of people. What makes me a laugh about those drawings were I would forget to draw a body! The arms would lead of the head and so would these long, long, long legs. But the face of the person I was drawing would have so much detail! The eyes were perfect with eyelashes and eyebrows all in place. The chin and cheeks would have little dimples and the lips were full with a touch of a smile. The best bit was the hair. The hair is where I would go wild, my imagination taking over. Curly, short, up or down I did them all. I'm sure as I grow up my teachers and parent fault I would become a hairdresser.

As I grow up I started to enjoy drawing anything Disney. I would copy Minnie mouse, snow white or loin king then stick the drawing all over my wall. It wasn't to I hit my teens and started discovering boys that my drawing started to stop. More and more I was out with friends and less and less the pencil touched my hand!
Then I got together with the other half of me and we had children. Little G is now 8 and my princess Alice is 6. Alice developed a interest in Art if she wasn't marking and creating something she was drawing! Just like me she drew the people with no bodies. Again she was around 3 at the time. When I pointed out to her that yes her drawings were great but the people had the bodies she asked me to help her by drawing a person so she could copy. Guess what as soon as the pencil touched my hand again I couldn't stop. I remembered how much fun it was. I know draw a lot! Well when time is on my side I do! It's something that so totally distresses you and helps you relax, I'm sure all that love art will tell you that!
I have also been getting my son to give art ago. He has ASD and I believe that art is a great help to children with autism, it helps them express themselves. G draws lots now. His interest is in buses and trains and at the moment that's all he will draw as nothing else interests him. Check out some of his and Alice's art on the art page over at A boy with Aspergers.
For now here are a few of my drawings.

WALLPAPER 4 GIRLS

IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS THAT MAKE UP THE MAGIC.

It's all them little things in life that make the magic you fell in your heart.
Don't you agree?
Whenever my children draw me a picture or they star in a school play that's when I fell most lucky to be alive. You can give me a designer handbag, Chloe dress, Gucci shoes but it still would never compare! although I would never say no to any of the above!
My point is when you have something that you have longed for a sports car or a Holiday in the most amazing place on earth and you fell that felling of happiness. But if you were told you only had weeks to live you would in fact discover how much more the little things compared to the big things make you happy. Guys I'm not dieing but after reading so much in the papers about jade Goody and her losing battle to cancer just makes you think. Jade is a young mum, just a year older then myself! And I know no  one can ever Begin to know what this young woman is going through unless they are or have been through it. But I know like jade if it was me! The hurt of never seeing my children grow up would be the hardest thing in the world. As jade has said in many interviews. When you have life you take it for grunted. Jade holds on to the little things with both hands. We should all take a look at ourselves and ask do we appreciate the little things that make up the magic? I know I do! Do you?
